VP of Innovative Solutions

Evelyn Walker specializes in Process Innovation, I/T design and installations from a user’s perspective, Leadership Development and Measurement / ROI of Transformation Initiatives. Her 25 years working at IBM in corporate accounting, finance and human resources give her a unique blend of human resources and finance experience. This enables her to bridge the communication gaps that exist between the various levels of management and employees.

Currently she has been working with executive and front line teams in the health care industry to bring passion and urgency to the achievement of critical business goals. This resulted in a clearly defined implementation plan and the development of two Leadership Development workshops,  “Grass Roots Innovation” (GRI) and the other Leadership Frameworks. They focus on management and staff development, and help drive significant efficiency and patient service improvements within health care. Within this work she has developed Train the Trainer programs for each and it has aided her clients to expedite the successes of each workshop across a much broader range of employees and leaders.

Evelyn has also worked with an executive team at a state department of transportation to transfer leadership skills to management and analytical skills to the workers. This led to an engagement of managers and employees working together to improve the service delivered to their customers.

Evelyn worked at a Department of Homeland Security location to identify creative solutions and teach process innovation skills to a US detention and removal camp, resulting in a 50% increase in productivity year over year. She provided coaching and guidance to detention officers on transforming their work issues and frustrations into measurable, tangible results.

As a senior HR manager in IBM, Evelyn had a significant role in developing and measuring IBM’s major initiative to change culture (Accelerate Change Together) by providing change leadership and process tools to business units and world geographies. This afforded her the opportunity to evaluate numerous consulting proposals and initiatives that IBM subsequently utilized to transform its culture and business processes. Additionally, while she was an IBM finance manager she was recognized and rewarded on several occasions for her work in designing and installing major financial systems.

Evelyn taught managerial and financial accounting classes as an adjunct professor at Manhattanville College. Her teaching experience assists her in teaching managers and employees business tools.

Evelyn developed many of her skills while holding various staff and management positions of increasing responsibility in Domestic and International accounting, finance, and human resources.  She holds a MBA in Finance (Summa Cum Laude) as well as a BA in Accounting (Magna Cum Laude) from Iona College.
